ParticipantHi all,
I have a Bosch Series 4 9kg washing machine that is 2.5 years old and out of warranty (even though Bosch now sell it with a 5 year warranty!). We’ve had some work done on the house so had moved it to the garage for a while and it’s worked fine. We’ve subsequently relocated it to the new kitchen and all the wash cycles work well. The problem is the spin setting is really hit and miss and 90{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the time doesn’t work and the clothes are super soggy. I’ve tried the spin cycle on all the settings and what tends to happen is it starts with a 13 min timer and then after a minute drops down to 4 mins and nothing really happens apart from a slow half hearted spin.
I’ve checked the pump, filter and drainage hose, all are clear and no visible issues. I’ve also tried to rebalance the clothes numerous time as read it could be a balancing issue. Again, doesn’t fix the issue.
I wonder if this is something to do with moving it and whether something needs recalibrating. Has anyone had such an issue or is there a quick fix?
Perhaps a just hard reset my do the job, but don’t know how to do this.
Thank you in advance for any pointers!

KeymasterThe intermittent nature would suggest a balancing issue or drain problem of some sort, as it’d be highly unlikely to be a component problem. It’s possible, of course, but I’d not think it likely.
Do check the pump housing, you can sometimes get small objects trapped in them which can fool the machine to thinking that it’s not drained fully but aside from that there’s not a lot I can think on from what you describe.

ModeratorIt will be the power inverter module they are having major problems with these at the moment

ParticipantThat sounds frustrating! Check the load balance and try a rinse-spin cycle. Sometimes sensor calibration is off. If issues persist, you might need to inspect the drain pump. Hope you get it sorted without a costly repair. For students who struggle to turn ideas into vivid writing, creative assignments can feel overwhelming. ParticipantI`d check the under the sink nozzle if plumbed out that way before doing anything- Unscrew the fitting quite common that matey boy plumber forget to remove the blue nozzle bung or with some do not cut off the the nozzle blank and just drill a couple of pathetic holes instead.
