I have had this machine for years but still I am confused as to which cycle has a pre-wash?? Anyone know? The manual clearly says which detergent drawer is for a pre wash, but no where on the cycle page does it say which cycle it is used for. I ask because when I use dye/cleaner etc it always says do not use pre wash cycle. Stumped!

That range didn’t have a pre wash option. Compartment 1 is where the pre wash would usually go but as the instructions state do not pour detergent in here.

Page 11 stain removal may help stubborn stains it states ” Stain removal This option allows for selecting the type of dirt so as to optimally adjust the cycle for removing the stains. The following types of dirt can be selected: – Food, for stains caused by foodstuffs and beverages, for example. – Work, for grease and ink stains, for example. – Outdoor, for mud and grass stains, for example. ! The wash cycle duration varies according to the type of selected dirt”.

I have just re-read the manual – Completely missed that, thanks Don! I have never used the stain buttons, just aswell not messy eaters! Why they didn’t just make a drawer with one compartment for detergent and one for softener – would have saved me the head scratching! Thanks again.
