    H all

    Make: Zanussi
Type: Condenser timer only – not sensor based programmes. Model has not upper water tank drawer, only a low tank, so no float or water pump to worry about (at least as far as I understand).
    Model Number ZDC37201W

I have an issue with my tumble dryer that is presenting in two ways. (pretty sure its the same issue for both presentations of the issue)

Presentation 1: My tumble dryer starts, runs for about 10-15 minutes, then stops. Start/pause button flashes red consistently with no pattern, just continous red flashing. This is accompanyed by three beeps once every few seconds. There is no other pattern.
Presentation 2: When I turn the tumble dryer on (via turning the timer) I have about 2 seconds to press start. If i don’t press start the above mentioned flashing and three beeps occurs. If i press start within those two seconds I get presentation 1 of the issue every time.

I have done the following trouble shooting:

    • Checked all the LEDs are operating on the panel, so I am not missing any error codes.
    • Cleaned inside of all panels, condenser, water tank and filters. Hoovered around motor, fan, heater to ensure no dust.
    • Opened the door while tumble dryer is running, to check door sensor. When opening drying cycle stops, so assume that door sesnor is not the issue.

As the tumble dryer will start, turn and heat, I assume its an issue with a sensor, but I can’t find any reference to this issue in a manual or online. I would rather not start buying parts till I have a couple of suggestions of issues or parts to replace. I am currently leaning towards the humidity sensor (if this is used for the condensor??), being the first port of call, but would like some confirmation.

I have replaced the belt on this tumble dryer myself and am confident about taking it apart and testing things with a multimeter if needed.

    Thanks

double check the door as have had instances of door switch opening when it gets hot. door warping or the like

it has got a float. all condensor dryer have to to indicate container full

when it goes off can you restart at once or do you have to wait ?

    Hello

So I tested the door by taking the latch off the door and inserting into the socket to fool the safety, then to keep the latch and socket cool, I pointed a fan at it. No change to the issue.

I can look at the float as an option if thats likely to be the issue. I assume the float only surves the purpose of telling me the tank is full? As i am not getting a full tank warning light, I assume its still unlikely to be the float.

Yes can restart, by turning off and quickly hitting start after turning on.

One other observation. When the issue starts during a cycle, i get the red flashing lights and the three beeps, but the cycle does continue for another 3-4 minutes with 3 beeps and flashing red light on start/pause button.

Having same issue. Seems like simple fix but can’t figure it out! Is the spring part of the water tank or does it go into the machine?!

Sorry wrong thread! More info is that I have had the spring and valve pop out as I have removed water tank. Is this easy fix? Can’t figure out where spring goes. Is it part of the machine or valve?

need to know which dryer you have but if its one of the ones with the water tray at the bottom then there are 2 valves

if you remove a full draw the draw has to seal so it does not leak while your emptying it and there will be water left in the machine so that also has a valve to seal it while the tank is out
