    Hi,

I’m after some help with my dishwasher, it no longer seems to be heating the water.

It all started with randomly showing 1 of 4 error codes ranging from no water, not draining to flood detection. Then these errors all cleared once I got all the water out of the bottom tray(no more water in the tray since) and all seems to work except heating the water.

Am I looking at a dodgy main board here or a broken heater? Which is more likely?

Also where do I find the main board as it’s not behind the front panel on this model?

    Thanks in advance.

board is at the back on most of these models

    check heater element

what error codes did you get ?

possibly a water fill or drain code

if yes bet the pressure chamber is blocked

can be accessed inside wash area sump

half moon bump in sump.. I normally put about 2 cups of warm water in then bend cable tie into chamber and move it around to dislodge debris

if unit thinks there is not enough water in or there is not enough water in it will not engage heater

    Hi Dave,

Thanks for the help. Unfortunately this hasn’t seemed to help.

The error codes I had were
1 flash – The appliance does not fill with water 2 flashes – the appliance does not drain
3 flashes – the anti flood device is on
4 flashes – malfunction of the water level detection sensor

Initially putting a cup or 2 of hot water allowed the machine to run. Now there are no error codes at all, the cycle completes (I’ve tried all 4 programs) but there is no hot water pumping out and no steam/heat at the end of the cycle.

check pressure chamber if clear then check heater resistance

Pressure chamber appears to be clear. I’m getting no resistance on the heater at all.

So new heater it is then I guess.

thats a safety stat so will have a low ohms reading

if it was the element expect 30 ohms or so

Yea so measuring from the pins inside the power connector housing I get no reading at all.

I’ve ordered a new heater now so fingers crossed.
