I recently took a Kenwood CK405 out of storage, where it had been for a year, and wired it up at home. The 30mA RCB will trip after about a minute (give or take) whichever element is turned on although it will never trip until one of the elements is on. So either grill or either oven, switched on individually, will cause the RCD to trip. I have carried out a ramp test on the RCD which trips around 25mA so appears to be OK. If one element were to cause the RCD to trip I would assume it was faulty and replace it but with all four elements exhibiting the same behaviour it seems unlikely they have all become faulty. Having said that I have little experience with cooker faults so am hoping someone could shed some light on the potential cause. Cheers.

after that time all elements will be damp

take the elements out after making careful notes of where all the wires go

then go to a friends house and put your elements in his oven for about an hour at 200 degrees

then refit and see what happens

Thanks Dave. I will try as you suggest. Many thanks for the advice.
