    Hi,

I’m aware this is a really niche issue however I don’t think I can be the only person in the world this is happening to so I’m ready to try long shots to resolve as Haier don’t seem interested.
I have purchased a matching set of the Haier built in oven and microwave in their ID2 series. H6ID25G3HTB1(oven) H4MWID29G6NQB(microwave).
However when they go into standby they have completely different screen brightnesses and what should be a matching set looks really messy.
What happens is when the microwave turns off it stays at a constant brightness, however the oven after 10 seconds really dims and goes into what looks like a sleep state, which the microwave never attains.
Haier had an engineer but he really didn’t seem to have a clue and I’ve attempted to update the firmware on both but no joy.
I’m not bothered if both go dim or both stay bright but having them match is my only hope. To the point I may have to sell them as in a brand new kitchen it’s a big mess.
Has anyone got either device or both and have any ideas?
    Thanks.

by the look of it you can change the display brightness on the oven

not sure if it will change things but worth a try

cant see any similar settings on microwave or cant see any way of disabling the dimming feature

they could cure this with a firmware update if they wanted

the only thing you have is

    https://www.haier-europe.com/en_GB/technical-assistance/

they own Hoover Candy now as well so will all be the same design soon

What you’re seeing is likely due to different standby or “sleep” circuits in the oven versus the microwave rather than a fault per se—the oven’s display is designed to dim after a few seconds to save power, while the microwave keeps its brightness constant, and this is controlled by the internal electronics rather than mechanical parts like ceramic ball bearings. Unfortunately, if firmware updates haven’t offered any settings for display behavior, there’s probably no user-accessible way to synchronize the brightness, short of having a qualified technician modify the control boards, which can be risky. The mismatch is purely electronic design, not a sign of wear or malfunction, so any attempt to “fix” it mechanically or with HA597851 bearings adjustments won’t affect the displays.
