    Hello
I have an AEG dishwasher which fills, constantly. I replaced the water container, some time ago, which did nothing. The orange inlet ‘valve’ which connects to it, dribbles water into the machine, constantly. It should obviously stop filling when not running/switched off, but something is obviously wrong.
I ended up fitting a shut-off valve to the cold water feed pipe, some time ago, to manually stop the flow, but that’s now failed.
    Any advice would be appreciated.

Assuming it’s the actual inlet valve leaking, it would need replacing.

    correct
if no power is applied to the dishwasher and water still comes in the only part it can be is the inlet valve
