    Hiya

We’re using the above dishwater, it’s worked fine for the last year but last night started playing up. When you start the cycle, the machine starts to drain water from the device. After a few seconds/ minute etc., it then proceeds to load the machine with water (we can hear this). However once it’s done, the device makes a singular beep, and then goes and drains all the water again.

When it’s finished draining, if we open the machine there are some lights lit: The D710 has a panel of five lights on the left of the door. The first three and the last one are all lit up at this point. I’ve looked in the manual but the troubleshooting section doesn’t have this sequence of lights in it.

We’ve tried cleaning the filter as well but that was quite empty anyway – we only cleaned it a few weeks ago. We’ve also tried removing dishes from the machine in case it was overloaded but to be honest it was no more full than usual – and that didn’t help anyway.

    Any ideas gratefully received 🙂

    Many thanks

Sounds like an E7 to me which should be resolved by resetting the PCB.

If you do a forum search for “Diplomat” or “Smeg” and “reset” (without the quotes) you should be able to find the info 😀

    Dave.

Yes, someone else already suggested this and it worked – I don’t know how you guys know so much about these obscure error problems but I’m mightily glad of it 🙂

    Thanks a bunch
