I wonder if anyone can help with some information on this dryer please? The symptoms are that it cuts out after approx 15 minutes, the display continues to count down, then the machine comes back to life an hour or more later to continue the cycle (Customer description of the fault).
I suspected an OHC possibly on the main motor. Taking off the side panel revealed a compressor cooling fan, behind a grill on the front panel, which was not running. A quick meter test showed a fairly high resistance across the terminals (These fans are often controlled via an integrated pcb so that could be normal). I didn’t have time to wait to see whether this fan started at some point in the cycle. I noticed that one side of the fan is connected to the compressor, but presumed it was probably N return. I couldn’t find any thermostat linked to the fan.
Does anyone have any info or a circuit diagram to determine whether this fan starts via a thermostat or directly from the main pcb?

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
