Hi anyone have experience of fitting fridge door seals. I don’t usually do them. This one seems to be moulded on with the inner door. I have the new seal 481946818316 . Do I just cut the old one off with a Stanley it has a lip on it or do I have to screw the liner back . Thanks

cant get a decent picture of the old seal to see fitting

some doors have a plastic channel and the current seal is bunded over the top

does the new seal have a barb moulded at the rear that would lock into a channel
if yes carefully cut the old seal at the bottom somewhere to see if there is a channel underneath before you commit to cutting off the seal completely

there is also a recommendation to warm the seal to remove any kinks

It has been a long time since I have done one so I may be wrong but if I remember correctly the the channel for the new seal is inside the old one so you have to cut the magnetic bit and both side edges off to reveal it.
