I have an Indesit BIWMIL91485UK. installed in 30 August 2023.
it has started to become noisy, at the end of the spin cycle you can hear it squeaking. Last wash, some of the laundry had dark patches on them, which will not come out now.
my good lady swears the spin cycle is going faster.
Tried numerous times to contact Indesit and Hotpoint to no avail.
Wondering if its worth getting someone out with call out fees and repair costs over buying a new one.
    Thanks

If you turn the drum by handy is it noisy or feel “rough”?

Hi Kwatt, thanks for the reply. If I spin the drum by hand it spins OK until it hits a certain point and stops, by hand there is no noise or any feeling a scraping.

The squeak could be suspension, belt, motor, pretty much anything that moves and if the bearings seem okay it might not be a huge concern.

The dark patches are strange as, if the bearings are okay as they seem to be, that can only be caused by something that’s been put in the machine really.

As to going faster, it won’t be.

Just spun the drum again, it is a lot noisier than yesterday, tried to upload a video but wouldn’t let me, not as smooth as previous

If it is the bearings, would it be more cost effective to buy a new one over getting it repaired

If the bearings are gone then yes a replacement machine will be the better option as that one has a sealed tank so not a cheap repair.
