    Hi

I have a Bosch heat pump tumble dryer that is about 5 years old. I won’t say that I’m happy with it because it takes forever to dry. It cost around £900 when I bought it.
I had D&G come check it last week because the clothes don’t seem to dry at all, and they wrote off the machine. (The repairman literally took a look at it and wrote it off).
They have offered me several replacement options, including some Miele upgrades for around £265.
    The Miele options are:
    tfb643wp
    twd640wp

the other options (free replacements) are as follows:
    Bosch wqg24502GB
    AEG tr819a4b
    AEG tr709g0z

    My question is as follows:
Should I pay to invest in a Miele machine, which for £265 is pretty reasonable for a Miele machine- however if I wasn’t happy with a heat pump dryer in the first place, should I rather get options for a condensor dryer which works much faster?
Or is a miele as good as any other, and should I go for one of the free replacements, and if so, which would you recommend?
I would appreciate any clarity on this matter.

To start the tech on heat pump dryers has improved over the last five years.

Yes they do take longer to dry but they are also a lot cheaper to run. You have to ask yourself which which do you prefer if the answer is the quickest then ask D & G for some suggestions for a condenser dryer. Back on heat pump the Miele TWD640WP at over 1k is a steal and should be seriously considered. They are renowned for being one of the market leaders in white goods. However they are a little hesitant when it comes to sharing service info and spare parts if needed can be more expensive.

If you decide not to go with paying out then I would probably pick the Bosch.

    Don
