This dishwasher Stop starts on fill but does not wash just goes straight to drain then starts to fill again eventually comes up with f12 valve fault which it is not as it fills my question is do these have a reed switch on the metering tank that could be faulty or blocked or a pressure switch as usual it will be a pig to get it out so looking for any advice first

If you’re in doubt, try removing the reed connector and see if the fault sequence changes.

The most common issue i have with these is low wash pressure fault – which the machine presumes to be a ‘water inlet’ fault. Either jammed or blocked wash motor impeller (debris gets in between the wash motor impeller fins. Or, faulty heat pressure switch.

The heat pressure switch is used to determine that there is water in the machine before it allows the element to be powered on, as a safety thing. So, it can fill correctly and still state an inlet fault.
