My fully integrated BOSCH SMV40C10GB/44 has stoped working. it has the check water light (12) flashing. Last time that happened something was jamming the top rotor so as soon as I emptied the dishwasher and reset it it was fine
This time it won’t reset unless I turn it off at the wall for a few hours. doesn’t matter how long I hold the program button down. Also the power button doesn’t work unless I turn it off at the socket for a few hours then all the buttons work fine. I’ve emptied it so there’s definitely nothing jamming the rotors. I’ve checked the water supply that’s all fine. I’ve took the little cover off under the filter to check the impeller isn’t jammed and that’s fine. the waste pipe isn’t blocked either.
I’m out of ideas now and its a not great having to wait for ages until the machine will reset and all the buttons work again
Had a similar issue on an AEG recently and it was a blocked pressure switch, replaced it to be sure and fixed the issue.
Dishwashers im discovering can be slow to diagnose.
at least the AEG has fault codes the Bosch is harder as all the light is telling you is its broken. A lot of Bosch machines have no pressure switches and rely on virtual sensors which makes things a lot harder
pressure sw problems are also a known problem on AEG / zanussi and some early ones needed modding for blocking up
