ParticipantHi,
My Candy Combiwash C1041 has a fractured drum support attachment.
The bearings / shafts / seals are okay
It is possible to get a replacemet drum and what is it likely to cost?
I could really do with not having to replace the machine at this point in time, but obviously if a new drum is going to cost a lot then I need to start thinking along those lines.
TIA for any advice. 🙂

Hi,
I don’t have an exact price, Dave probably will soon enough, but generally you can kiss goodbye to the best part of £100 for a drum.
Not to replace the bearings and seal when you’re there, or at the very least the seal, is asking for trouble. 😕

You can buy the drum shaft on it’s own for this model, although there are two types dependant on serial number.
Open the door and there’s a label with a load of numbers on it, post all those please and I’ll check prices etc for you. 😀

Thanks for your help guys. 🙂
The part that’s broken is the three-legged frame that is riveted to the back of the steel drum, to which the shaft attaches. I would have though that I’d need the full drum and shaft assembly?
Product Codes are:
Mod. C1041
N. 3109351 713 4303
G. 04
Type. FC01

Sorry for the delay, there was a digit missing in the serial number, sussed it though 😀
Part number for the drum support is 92994904 at £32.19 you would need to drill it off and bolt them back together with stainless bolts and washers.
The whole drum assembly is £110.50
Shaft seal 92445600 £7.67
Tub seal 92607175 £14.55
All inc VAT, please add £7.50 for postage.
An email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk if you’d like to order please.
Dave.

I’ve had another look at the machine and I reckon that the extent of corrosion at the centre of the drum support may make it difficult to recover the shaft.
So with a parts bill of around £70, the extent of work required, and considering the age of the machine, I think a new machine is probably the best way to go.
Thanks for your assistance, this is a wonderful resource. I’ll be back whenever I have less catastrophic problems with other appliances 😀

Hi Peridot – Hope you’re still reading the forum! I was wondering if you could tell me where the pump filter was located in the Candy Combiwash C1041. I think I need to clean mine! Thanks,

Thanks,
JonathanHi Jonathan,
Thanks something I always wondereed about too 🙂 , I don’t reckon there is one. Certainly never found one when I had the machine and I don’t recall seeing one when I was breaking it up for disposal.
I seem to recall that pump connections were reasonably accessible from the back of the machine, so you may be able to disconnect the inlet and outlet pipes and check for blockages.
