Hiya, can anyone help me?
My dryer on the ariston margarita 125 has stopped drying it drys cold air and nothing gets dried, it still goes around, just dosent dry, could anyone help me at all?
Any ideas anyone

Possibly a failed thermostat or heater I would think.
It’s not one that can be a definitate I’m afraid Joanne, engineer time to be honest – check repairs@ 😀

I had this problem on my marguerita AWD 2000. Called a local repairman (cheaper) and payed £30.00. He took the top off, and put a volt meter across the thermo wire (runs directly across top of the drum on front right quartile when you look down) – no voltage so needed replacing. Apparently some kind of block in the middle of it had ‘shaken’ apart – machine only a yera and a bit old at the time. I queried if this was a regular problem and he shrugged and basiclaly said it is bound to happen on something that shakes as much as a washing machine.
Dead easy to fix. Had I know what it was I could have removed the wire myself and taken it to a shop for a replacement. IF you are interested i guess I could take a digi photo of the relevant wire in the machine and send it across to explain what the heck I am on about – but it could be something different on yours. He did say that first thing he does is run the volt meter across all the circuits to spot which one is not working.
