ParticipantIve got a brand new smeg fme20ex
it wont cook
if i set it up (set clock)
the select microwaves
set the timer
click start, it cuts out
after a couple of tries the everything on the microwave blinks, the clock, and even the lights inside ??!?!
ok how bad is this?
oh btw. Im having hell because the product(s) were bought online from italy, and delivered in denmark, the italian seller claims theres 24 months of manufacturer guarantee, and the danish representitive of smeg says they wont carry the service bills because the unit(s) were not bought in denmark..
😕 😕 😕

one of my friends that is an electrician, says that many such whitegoods today have an reset option, since it might just be the computer inside thats crashed.
does anyone know if that is the case for this model, and if so what is the way to do it?

There is no information as such on this model regarding reset procedures I’m afraid.
I’ve just read and re-read the user manual though, and everything you have done seems OK.
It sounds like a poor connection to me, check another socket perhaps ? Apart from that, it’s engineer time 🙁
One other thing, the supply voltage is suitable is it ? (240V, 110V or 125V AC etc). I’m just thinking that as it came from Italy it may be different than Denmark, just a thought.

service came today.
looked at it blinking and acting crazy, mumbled something (or maybe it was just my hangover 😉 )
then decided to take the unit in for service
