I have a Ariston Washer Dryer that was in the house built in.

It runs through the programmes but the drum does not turn.

Its done this before and the engineer fixed it in two minutes but I have no idea what he did. (I dont’ think the belts come off!)
    Any ideas anyone?

    Can anyone help. ❓

I have got exactly the same problem. My model is an Ariston Margherita AV1048C. The machine goes through the cycles but does not spin.

Any idea what the problem might be? I have also gone onto the link to find a repair specialist and there doesn’t seem to be one in my region. Postcode is GU21

Normally on these models it’s either the brushes in the motor or the speed control module, neither are overly expensive to resolve.

I’ll check later at home for you for an engineer as I have a list there 🙂

Thanks Dave for your message. I actually managed to get hold of a repairer. It was effectively the brushes (2). Just for curiosity, Have you got any idea how much each brush costs?

    Thank you.

    Have a look here:

for typical prices – there are various different types of motors fitted to the Indesit/Ariston range.
