ParticipantThis is a fault i have never seen before on any dishwasher.?
After start button pressed drain pump runs for 1 second then nothing, didley, nought. Wont fill or move on.
Found a piece of bone in drain pump, removed it but still no go, pump is ok cos if you flick the flood protection swich drain pump will run.Tested every component I can find all seem ok, no sign of damage on timer/pcb, meter tank fine (was a little blocked).
On its last wash it seems to have got stuck mid cycle, has not heated (heater seems fine tho).
Is anyone familiar with these shiny stainless steel beauties?
Any Ideas?Lee.

You could try to reset the PCB, although if it’s going dead it may not work, in which case I would suspect the PCB.
Worth a go I would think:
open the door
switch off the dw
switch on again the dishwasher
within the following 2 seconds, push 4 times the start/pause button.
Now all the lamps switch on .
Switch off the dishwasher, keeping its door open
Close the door
Switch on again
Select a program from the timer
Sorrry about the rubbish translation 😉

Its the dispenser solenoid ,Complete dispenser or if you are careful you can use an inlet valve solenoid just gently prise of the mounting bracket from the old one ,And refit in reverse

Lawrence, can you educate me a little bit, how can the dispenser soleniod cause this faulty.

Ah, that problem.
The solenoid goes short and causes a software lock-up on the PCB, I forgot about that one.

True, it can go short and even blow the pcb, sometimes the fault only being a dispenser flap not opening but when you put a new dispenser on then the flap instantly opens as the triac or whatever that feeds it is short. However, the fault here is more likely to be a open circuit dispenser coil or even just a wire off the coil (it does happen). Can I explain why it causes this odd fault? no. it just does.

We’ve done 3 of these in as many months -s/disp takes out the pcb if left to fester.
One of them we had to go to twice since we didn’t clock what was happening straight away and blew the newly replaced pcb within a fortnight 😳Live & learn.
