We recently moved house and carefully moved the dryer to our new kitchen. When switched on the ‘Empty Water’ light comes on. There is no water in the container at all. Can anyone help?
    thanks.

If yours is an early production model you may have a black rubber drain plug at the back of the machine?…If so, simply remove the plug and let the water drain out of it 😉

If not, next question…does it operate at all?

We have already drained any excess water from the back by removing the black plastic ‘bung’. The dryer turns on – the ‘on’ light is lit, but the ‘Empty water’ light being on, prevents the dryer operating. Do you know how the dryer senses that the water collector is full?
    thanks.

There is a float chamber connected to the water container that has a float switch in it. Access is not easy, did you transport the dryer upright or lie it down. You may have disturbed the mechanism if you did this. would suggest getting an engineer to take a look. Make sure you remove the plug if you decide to investigate further.

thanks for the advice. How could I ‘re-float’ the float switch?

The machine has to be dismantled to access this. Not a DIY job but an expert can sort it in no time at all for you. We may have an engineer in your part of the country is you click this link:Repairs@
