    My freezer section is not working correctly.
    I have ice build-up under the bottom drawer & bread in the top drawer
    is not freezing hard.
    I have checked the door & it is closed properly & have tried the quick freeze function but it doesn’t make a difference.
    The model no. is drc2wu1. The fridge section is fine & the model is frost free.
    Fridge freezer is less than 2 years old.
    Can anyone advise me?

    If there’s ice under the lower drawer it sounds like the defrost cycle isn’t working correctly or the door has been left open accidently.

    A complete defrost over 48 hours will prove one way or the other, if it happens again in a short period then it’s engineer time 😉

    Hi – I don’t know if ‘ochiluk’ is still viewing this site – but i would like to know the results of his De Dietrich Fridge Freezer problems. We have just experieinced the exact same problem, same age, same model, same symptoms?

    Hi,

    I have a similar problem with an “American Style” De Dietrich UN2587

    Loads of ice in the bottom of the freezer section.

    Had the unit 5 – 6 years, never really had any problems until now.

    Will try to do a total defrost in the next few days.

    Is there likely to be a big bill, if this defrost doesn’t rectify the fault?? 😯
