My father-in-law in France has an Ariston FD76 fan oven and his oven light has gone. Unfortunately the top of the bulb faces outwards so he cannot even remove the bulb to get another one.

Can anyone help me with the bulb we need to buy for him and also how to remove the pesky bulb itself? There appears to be no way of holding on to the bulb to twist it to remove without risking breaking the glass and then being stuck with the end still in the oven.

    Thanks 🙂

With the oven switched off and the lens cap of the light housing removed, using a rubber-gloved hand, grip the top of the bulb firmly and twist it anti-clockwise. 😉

As a last resort if it will not twist easily, squirt a little WD40 behind the glass aiming toward the threaded fitting. Leave for an hour or so then try again with that all important gloved hand 😀

The bulb most likely is a 15 watt SES Pygmy Oven Lamp rated at 300degrees C. Available from many outlets in France no doubt 😀
