    My Fridge freezer recently started collecting excess water under the salad crisper tray, I was advised by a helpline to use a pipecleaner to prod the small hole at the back of the fridge compartment, this seemed to do the trick, but (and this is probably unrelated) I came home from work to find the fridge /freezer completely dead, I have changed the fuse and verified power at the supply socket to no avail, can anybody give possible reasons for this total failure

    Check wiring at cable junction where it joins the machine is the obvious one, failing that computer failure likely.

    I have checked power, seems OK so will have to wait for engineer
