I have the common programme switch spinning round problem.I also have no power led although there is power to the machine. The machine fills to about halfway up the porthole and then cycles between draining and filling. What on earth is going on.I have drained the machine and opened the pump inspection and it appears to be clear.

    Cookie,

Most likely the water level sensor is the fault. More specifically the small thin black hose from the sump to the water level switch may be blocked or more commonly, punctured 😉

Half way up the glass is way too high for the water level. Flood protection is operating, causing the pump to cut in. Check for correct operation of water level control switch. If you switch off and the water stops coming in, you may assume that the water valves are OK. Otherwise it’s the computer..

Power off if investigating further. :plug:

If you are not confident, please check in Directories or Repairs@ for a UKW engineer in your area.

    Regards,
