ParticipantI have shortlisted
1. Bosch Model KGU31125 or KGU31124
2. Hotpoint FFA97GI am not sure which one to go for. Could the experts recommend a Fridge Freezer- one of the above or another option with similar dimensions, features, price and after sales sevice.
Thanks

Hi
Hotpoint has better door storage, but all things considered I would go with the KGU31125GB, comes with two year guarantee subject to registration and good service back up too.

Thanks very much. 🙂
Is there are other make and model you could suggest in the same category of dimensions, features and price?July 13, 2005 at 1:58 pm #141305don

Hi
No nothing at all in that price range Bosch are probably the best. If you want to go higher in price for a product that will last and last then the Miele KFN8862SD which also comes with a two year guarantee.

Hi Don,
Thanks again. One last query. I was looking at cheaper options too-
1. Candy CPCA291FFK
2. Servis M0330
How does it compare to the Bosch option. Obviously, I do not want to be penny wise pound foolish. But I am trying to get value for money.Regards

Hi,
Is it ok to buy the Bosch KGU 32124 fridge freezer from the Clearance Auction at Comet. It is boxed and unused and I hope to get it half price. One sure minus is that it will come with one year warranty only.
I understand that this has just been discontinued.
It may be stupid to ask this but as I have never bought anything from these clearance auction before so am not sure. Thanks

ThanksAs long as it is boxed and unused then yes it would be a good deal. At half price or so I would forsake the extra year guarantee.

Hi, any chance you could offer similar advice..
I’m finding it difficult to narrow down what fridge freeze I should buy and there are so many available I just can’t decide.
I’m looking for an american style (side by side) with plumbed water and ice and if possible not too deep as i my units are the standard european depth. I’m interested in a good quality product and have had my eye on a Samsung model for about £1400. (Integral 60)
I’m not sure if this brand is well regarded or if I should be sticking with something else.
Any opinions on brands, products would be very well received !

Hi Jason
The Samsung range is becoming increasingly popular probably due to the fact it is only 60cm deep. However if it is brands you are looking at then I would consider the Whirlpool range for quality and choice of colours available or the Maytag and indeed the Smeg range, all these are quality machines built to a good standard and have a good back up after sales service. Only trouble is these do not produce a 60cm deep machine. Try your`e local independant retailer for the best advice and service.
You can see the products here at

http://www.maytag.co.uk
http://www.smeg.co.ukGood luck.
