    This is an integrated/semi-integrated dishwasher.

I think its bust!! Had occasional problems over the past two years with it soaping up like a washing machine with too much powder although I’ve never put too much in.

Same thing happened this am and generally it would eventually run through the cycle (although take a lot longer) but this time it wouldn’t. Have had to empty all the soap suds but now its just spinning and won’t expel any water. The trouble with this model is that there’s not a lot of buttons and there seems to be no way to reset a program or indeed to move it to a point in the program where it will empty. Can’t get to the back of the machine because its fitted.

    Can anyone help please?

    THanks

Have you noticed a higher usage of rinse aid?

    No it’s really weird.

Had the DW for about 2.5 years. It’s ‘soaped up’ only probably 5-6 times over this period and I don’t think there’s any connection with rinse aid.

But as I say, this time whatever has happened seems to have done something really wrong. It seems the heater isn’t working either.

Does the grey drain hose run straight down to the dishwasher (peas, carrots and foamy washing up liquid running down from sink U bend spigot) or does it go into a seperate standpipe?

The grey waste from the dishwasher discharges into the sink waste above the U bend.

I can’t hear the machine trying to discharge though.
