    We’ve got a zanussi FJ 1040 and its’s started leaving bits of grey sludge on the washing. Tried cleaning the machine with soda and with proprietary washing machine cleaner, but doesn’t seem to have cleared it. Any ideas?

    Try a 90C (hottest wash) with no clothes but a small amount of detergent.

    Normally it’s just caused by a bacterial build up from many low temperature washes, 60C is required to kill most 😉

    Check the filter afterwards please 😀
