The lid on the detergent compartment keeps opening during the wash. This means the powder ends up all over the bottom of the machine and nothing is getting cleaned. Does anyone have any advice? Or know of a good engineer in the London area? Any help very much appreciated. Thanks a lot!

Err dispenser is meant to open during cycle.

    Thanks Boro,

At the end of the cycle the bottom of the machine is covered with powder from the detergent tablet & chunks of the tablet are left on the dishes.

I was guessing that this was happening because the dispenser was opening too early and the tablet breaking off before it became part of the cleaning cycle, but I may well be wrong. It would be great if you have any advice or clues[/img]

if the tablet is on plates and base at end of wash your looking at something like circulating pump failure or something similar :lesson:
well worth opening door during wash and seeing if water is coating both baskets inside. also check at end of cycle to see if the items have been dryed. play around with it and post more details then we can better advise.

    Is the m/c getting hot?

start m/c on quick wash program when you hear m/c stop filling open the door, water should be lapping around the underside of the salt pot lid.

If this is ok close door again and let it finish cycle(should take about 30-40 mins)once finished open door and you will know if has heated or not. 😉
