    Hi All,
First time here and hope someone can help a newbie.
(Thanks to Dave for pointing me back at the forum)

I’ve got a TBDW41 dishwasher and it keeps cutting out just after the cycle starts, I think it might be caused by a blockage on the water inlet but wondered if there are any in-line filters that I need to check out etc.

Any other ideas are greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance, 😆

It could be that the water inlet system (IWMS) has failed in some way? First of all you need to establish whether the antiflood device has tripped due to a flooded base? Tipping the machine backwards about 45 degrees will confirm (have a couple of towels handy to mop up )

Also try turning off the stop-cock, releasing the fill hose, then reconnect and turn water back on 💡

:plug: ALWAYS REMOVE THE PLUG FIRST BEFORE ATTEMPTING ANY OF THE ABOVE :zap:

If you prefer an engineer fix it then try finding one recommended by us in your area by clicking on this link:-Repairs@

    Martin,

Cheers for the info, we stripped the dishwasher at the weekend and found that the water pipe had a kink in it, the valve was only half open and the connections for the watet inlet system were dirty, once we sorted out the kink, opened up the valve and cleaned the points the dishwasher ran successfully.

Thanks for taking the time to reply to my original post.
    It’s very much appreciated.

    Regards
    Kev

    Re: Tricity Bendix TBDW41

Hi all, For a few months now our TBDW41 would occasionally become flooded with dirty water, I discovered that we actually have a blocked drain and it wasn’t the dishwashers fault as water seemd to have gotten back in the machine via the outlet pipe (I thought they’d have one way valve or something to prevent this (or do they)).

Anyway I have had to drop the outlet pipe into a bucket till our drain is fixed and we discovered even though the outlet pipe has been put into a bucket that is emptied as we go along, it still flooded?! ❓
things have gone from bad to worse and and last night while machine was running it blew the mains trip switches. Now everytime I try to plug it in and turn it on it keeps blowing the mains trip switches.

Any help would be appreciated and thanks in advance.

Remove lid and left-hand side panel. This will reveal the IWMS – a large plastic panel, often full of water. Look at the bottom two inches of it closely – if it appears to be black or gungy, it’s choked and the water level control will not work properly.

Power off for anything other than observation, please.

Ok But would that cause the house Main trip fuses to go out?

Will try to check it at the weekend and let you know

    Thanks

If it floods, the water could go anywhere……..

Hi there, well I managed to get some time and tried opening up the dishwasher.
There is a big plastic panel which I believe is the decalcifer, is this the ‘IWMS’ that your referring to?
It seems that there is a sponge in it and it all looks perfectly clean including the bottom 2 inches of it.
I cannot seem to be able to attach pictures to this post.

What should I go to check next OH GREAT ONE? 😀

I lightly tried and I cannot get it detached from the plastic ring on the inside of the dishwasher, it seems press fitted or something.

    Kind Regards

Hi there P45…you are describing a problem which I have with my DW and I would be very impressed if you can help. I have removed the IWMS and the lower areas at the bottom right and to a lesser degree in the centre are black. It is difficult to see if this blackening means that it is full of deposits or whether it is just the inner surfaces of the plastic that are coated. What is the best way to remove these deposits. Fault with machine, btw, has been a bit intermittent but generally it will not fill. All water valves test OK. Thanks in anticipation….
