Hi I wonder if anyone can help me. My smartdrive 603 isn’t running properly. When I start the machine, the water valves will open for a split second, then close for a few seconds, then repeats itself over and over until it beeps consistantly with a few lights lit up on the display. However, if I change the water temp while the machine is in the operate mode (not pause mode) the valves no longer pulse, but it still comes up with the error in around a minute. The lights that show up are:

top row: longwash, the one between spin and rinse, spin.
    also: hold and slow

    Can you help me please

This indicates the bowl sensor is giving incorrect readings. If it sounds like a jet taking off when it spins, the main seal has perished and water can spray onto the sensor. Turn off power at wall, tilt back, remove the base panel ( if it is still there ), if there are rusty streaks on the rotor ( big plastic thing that turns ) , this is the main seal problem.

Are these lights in the diagnostic mode?

Not sure, but i sorted the problem. I had missed one of the 3 plugs on the motor when i reassembled it. I have another machine however showing:
3rd light from left, first rinse light, spin light. This is in diagnostic mode and on a gw501. Any ideas on this one, i think the main board might be faulty.

Just quickly that sequence of lights above, is that 10100100? have i caught onto this binary code thing right?

It means the W/m is not stopping quickly enough when the brakes are applied. With the power off, check the motor resistance at the plug in the main board. It should read about 12 ohms. If this is ok, then you need to replace the main board.
