Indesit WG1234T door seal replacement

I have removed the retaining wire from the door side of the seal and released the front of the seal, but there seems to be another retaining wire on the drum side of the seal, on the right hand side, held together by a long bolt. This is very difficult to access, even with the lid off, and the front of the machine doesn’t come off.

How do I get to this second retaining wire? It looks like I have to take the whole drum out, unless it’s possible to perhaps remove the concrete weights from the front.

With a bit of effort I might just about be able to unscrew the bolt with a spanner, accessed through the door, but I would not be at all confident about refitting it from this angle.

What’s the trick?
