Hi, I’m looking for a new oven door for my diplomat 610 built-in oven. Basically the inside glass smashed on mine whilst I was cooking a roast chicken and I subsequently wrecked the rest of the door cleaning the mess up. Thanks

    Chits,

You have clearly buggered it big time then 🙁

So, either you will need to buy a new oven OR give us some (detailed)idea of the broken and damaged parts that need replacing as it’s most unlikely a complete new door is available to simply stick in (never as easy as that I’m afraid 🙁 )

Well, I tried to clean the shattered glass up by removing the hinge cover (held on with screws), unfortunately that and glue held the hinge to the outer door and when I removed the screws the glue came apart. I then looked at the instruction manual and saw that there was a quick release thing for hinge and door, so I flicked them and pulled the whole thing out. Can I not just fit a new door?

Afraid not, you need to buy the inner and outer door panels then transfer the hinges and handle over. The glued parts will come pre-glued.

You’ll also need to let us know the model number as 610 is a generic range of cookers. it should be either around the door or on the oven roof and begin with APL, AHY or similar.

    Dave.
