    Hi there,

I have had the Schreiber app 6302 for over 2 years now and there has been no problems. But, in the last couple of days there has been a funny smell coming from near the compressor. I have been told that maybe this is due to the drip tray? Which should be just above the compressor. For the life of me I can not find the damn thing.
The smell is simillar to a sickly type of food smell. Not a mechanical smell. There is a vent in the front of the skirting board to allow for air circulation, and the fridge is spotless, and behind the fridge also, so it is deffinatley mechanical. Any ideas?

There is no drip tray on the top of the compressor on this model, it’s underneath it and is heated by pipes carrying warm gas.

Most likely it’s full of gunge causing the smell. Best bet is uninstall it and have a look from the rear, power off first please :plug:

    Dave.
