AEG integrated Washer dryer bearing

I had to replace bearings on an AEG ZJ1284 integrated Washer /Dryer the other day. Can anyone advise the best way to remove the three legged drum support that has the bearings mounted into it. I carefully levered out the edge of the drum so the casting could be pulled back past the countersunk holes. The problem was when I test the machine I found the outer tub leaked from the joining seem adjacent to two of the support legs. Easing the outer edge of the tub away from the support caused the outer tub joining seam to split slightly.

Is there a recognised way of striping this down to change the bearings without creating leaks?
