I’ve recently moved into a house with a full size Smeg dishwasher that is built into the units. It doesn’t clean very well and the tablets are now sticking in the little slot and hardly dissolving at all. I’ve cleaned the filter but it doesn’t help.
I don’t have any instructions for it and I don’t know what model it is to download a copy. How can I find out the model? I can’t see a serial number on the base or inside anywhere.

Anyone got any ideas about how to find the model number or improve the performance? It does have salt in it, I checked, that’s all I could think of.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Could be something as simple as blocked spray arms, You need to remove them to do this properly. Read the “diswasher not cleaning properly” thread near the top of this forum.

Thanks for the replies. I found the model no. on the frame of the door, as you said. Smeg don’t have a copy of the manual on their site, but they do for the next one up, which is similar.
Anyway, I gave the spray arms and filter a thorough clean out and it doesn’t help. It’s taking almost 3 hours to do a cycle and the stuff isn’t getting cleaned or drying afterwards. Looks like time for a new one. 😥

    Cheers 😉
