ParticipantBosch SPS5122 When the complete wash cycle has ended the bottom fills slowly with clean water, it appears that it may be coming from the water softener, I have removed the left side panel and can see water trickling from the softener unit. Could this be a solenoid valve not shutting correctly? Any help would be much appreciated.

Have you tried turning off the water supply to the machine, if it stops filling then it is the inlet valve on the machine that is faulty.

Most likely requires a side chamber.
Not really a DIY fix.

Thanks for the info but what do you mean by the side chamber ?do you mean the complete clear plastic chamber that controls the water and softener, if so how much would this cost. Any ideas as this Machine is now 14 years old and this is the first ever fault. Good old Bosch.

On this model I believe they have a Water Inlet Valve/Aquastop that is remote from the machine and connects directly to the Stop-cock. If you turn off the water supply and disconnect this device from the stop-cock the water should cease to enter the machine. Thus requiring replacement of the Valve/Aquastop Unit.
What is the FD number of your machine I wonder?

Thanks Martin and yes you are correct it does have an Aquastop but I have tried turning it off at the end of the cycle but it still drains from somewhere in the side chamber as suggested by boro. The FD number is 7111-094917
