    can anyone help me im trying to aquire a door catch its the one that holds the cupboard door shut its a white block with a spring loaded arm with a roller on the end it locates in the machine cabinet held in with one screw and when the door is closed it connects with the roller then holds the door shut. ive tried local suppliers but the cant find the part only a complete door fixing kit which is about £70 all i want is this part

    does anyone know if this is made by SMEG as if so I am sure to have one from all the exchanges I have done !

    Yes, it is a Smeg machine, the Hotpoint details are:

    Lock (spring loaded arm) – 1603742 at £5.27
    Lock support (white block) – 1603741 at £3.52

    If Lawrence has one then I’m sure he’ll reply shortly 😉
