I have a Rosieres Bocuse range cooker that came with the house I have just bought. Neither of the oven doors closes properly and the seals are broken round both. I wonder if it might simply be the hinges that need replacing but I can’t find any serial numbers on the cooker itself. Any tips on where these might be located and/or where I can source the spare parts required would be appreciated. Thanks.

The model number will be inside the warming drawer 🙂

Depending on the age it should be one of these:

    2040DB – 4040DB or RBC???

If you let me know I can price the spares for you 😀

    Dave.

Thanks, Dave, but having practically crawled into both drawers with a torch, there is no model number to be found there. However, the instruction book has on the cover 4040 DB – 4040 RB IN, and inside the front cover above a picture of the cooker it says 4040 DB, so I am assuming it is this model.

Good news is the right hand door seal has just come unclipped in one corner and is therefore OK, but I have ordered all the other parts as recommended. Your help has been invaluable and I will no doubt be back for more advice in the future. Many thanks, Alison.

Re: Rosieres Bocuse – oven door problems

We too have a 4040DB and the oven doors don’t close properly, are new hinges the answer and if so how easy are they to fit? It looks as though they are contained within the door, if so I imagine it to be fairly easy.
Please can someone who has replaced them let me know. Thanks.
