Having a problem with our Indesit WD12 washer/dryer – when the cycle gets to the rinse setting it works for a little while and then stops and wont drain. While doing this the pump makes a loudish humming sound. It sits there and I cant get it to move beyond that.

Is the pump gone ? If it is is it worth trying to fix ?

It’s either blocked or the pump has failed Sooze.

Check the filter right to the back of it as something may be obstructing the impellor, failing that then a new pump is required more than likely.

Power off before checking :zap: please.

Thanks Dave, much appreciated. If it is the pump, any idea on how much one will cost? And on a scale of 1 to 10 how hard is it to fix myself (with power disconnected of course!), am reasonably mechanically minded but no expert.

It turns out there are two versions of the pump, can you check the full model number please from the rating plate (WD12 is correct but there is some more on the end) and also the serial number.

Fitting difficulty is around 5 😉

    Hi Dave

    I think the serial number is WD12 Uk 0802 50570130 31221 307023669

    The type number is LVA2000C

Is that what you need ?

I took the pump apart and removed £1.38 and a fluff ball but that hasnt solved the problem.

Possibly the pump in that case.

Part number is C00080667, just added it to the shop for you should you require one 😀
