dishwasher keeps stopping and light on display flashing 4 times, if I press and hold the light button dishwasher resumes and then after a few minutes stops with light flashing 4 times again. Can anyone help please, I do not know how to interpret this fault, obviously manual no help and just out of guarantee!

4 flashes or Error code 4 is not draining.

Either a blockage somewhere or the drain pump has failed.

Check the waste hose where it connects to the drain/trap as that is a prime place for blockages.

Thanks for help Dave, it does seem to be something to do with draining. I have had a very unexciting morning trying to work out what is wrong and have observed the following:

When I turn the machine on it makes a draining/vibrating noise, the water then goes in and the wash starts. It washed for about 10mins (30/40c cycle) then draining starts. Water drains thick and fast no problem, draining then continues for another 3 mins during which time water continues to trickle out. Machine carries on making draining noise which starts to sound more like vibrating then machine stops and light is flashing 4 times. If I press and hold the button to override it, the draining and vibrating noise continues for 4 mins then the machine stops. The plates inside are clean but with a spotted residue.

    Any ideas???

In that case, it is draining Ok it just “thinks” it isn’t, the control unit thinks it’s still full of water.

Engineer time to be honest as it could be a number of things causing this, check Repairs@ for one near you 😀

    Dave.
