    I thought it was getting rather hot so I checked with a cooking thermometer

    if i set the oven to 50 degrees celcius, it doesnt stop heating until the oven hits around 230 degrees?!

    so Im guessing either:

    #1 the thermometer in the oven is faulty

    or

    #2 the temperature knob is faulty


    anyone have any helpers?

    the unit is a cs19-5 (opera a1 90cm) 😯

    The temperature knob will be easy enough to check, pull it off and see if it’s cracked/broken where the thermostat shaft goes in, it may be spinning on the sharf leaving the thermostat in the wrong position.

    If it’s OK then the thermostat is at fault, which is more likely to be honest.
