    do not know model yet but have found manual which says that e4 is “a failure of the temperature sensing system” any thoughts on what that may be. thanks for replying.

    Without the model number no, I’m afraid not.

    Caple don’t actaully “make” any appliances, they are manufactured for them and badged. The model number will indicate who actaully made it, we can then refer to the fault codes for you.
