    Any idea how I can replace the evaporator thermistor of my Hotpoint Mistral F/F myself? It is displaying an error code E8 😥 . Thanks.

    It’s inside the freezer behind the rear panel, power off before heading in please :zap:

    Thanks Dave, would that be the yellow one which I should replace? There is one (evaporator thermistor) which can be obtained from Shop@ (item 2601683), would the error E8 “Evaporator thermistor short circuit” be resolved by just replacing this thermistor?

    2601683 is the correct one yes, hopefully it should resolve the problem but as with anything electronically controlled you can never be 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} about these things 😉

    I guess the best option is to replace it and try, if that doesn’t work then I’d recommend and engineer check it over for you.

    Repairs@ should provide one 🙂

    Part ordered on Sunday night and was delivered on Tuesday morning. The refrigerator is now working perfectly ok once the thermistor is replaced. Thanks again Dave.
