Switching it off for a while usually sorts it out but I’ve had it switched off for 2 weeks now and it won’t work at all now. Any clues where to start looking ? Electronically controlled unit (so has no thermostat) but the PCB is the usual fault 🙁 Engineer time with one of these to be honest to make a definite diagnosis, check Repairs@ for one near you 🙂 Dave. Could I get hold of a service manual ? Nick August 17, 2005 at 8:45 pm #145007 Dave_ConwayParticipant Re: Hoover Optima Fridge Freezer died Guest wrote:Could I get hold of a service manual ? It’s very unlikely to be honest. You”ll have to use your diagnostic skills and a bit of luck 😉 Hoover won’t supply the circuit information generally even to engineers as they never replace to component level, just change the whole PCB.
