I have the integrated larder fridge arl100. I for the life of me cannot find the serial number, whchh I need to report a repair. The horrible people at the manufacture’s customer care departnent hung up on me as they would not understand that there is not a number on the inside compartment of my fridge. There is not ione on the guarantee. Please can someone look on their ignis fridge (the model quoted) an help urgently? 😯

Someone else’s serial number won’t help you at all. Each machine will have a different number.
There’s something like 16 different model variations for that part number too.
I take it you were talking to Whirlpool customer care, did they tell you to take the salad bins out and look for the model and serial there?

Yeah. I am utterly exasperated as I totally appreciate where they are coming from and why they need the serial number but I have looked in said place and all I have are three other very long numbers. And yes it was Whirlpool customer care. I even gave then the model name ‘Serena or Sarena’ and they said that is not an Ignis model when I know it is.
My fridge is not working properly due to this and I simply do not know what to do. I moved into the house, which was a brand new buils so the appliance had never been used and all I have which proves it is ingnis apart from teh instryctions is the builders invoice which notes it is an ignis arl100 larder fridge!!!

hi there. I was told that Ignis is a cheaper off shoot of whirlpool!!! It is Sarena and the other number is sc102. I wil be so pleased if you can help.

For Sarena you need to call Anglo Iberian Services on 01245 320992. 😉

I am totally confused as when I call up the whirlpool customer care number they said they service whirlpool…blah blah.. blahblah and Ignis appliances. I am sure it is whirlpool!!! 🙄 ❓
If it’s a Sarena under-counter fridge or freezer then it may well be made by Whirlpool/Ignis but if it’s badged as a Sarena then they do not have the responsibility to service that brand. Sarena is handled by PABL (Premium Appliance Brands Ltd) and service is done through AIS.
See, same thing, only different. 😉

It is definately ignis and it just says sarene inside near the crisper box. Unfortunately it does not have the 85 number I desperately need.

It is on the inside of the fridge near the crisper drawer near where all the spec numbers are, just not the bloomin 85******* number I need!!!

OK, let’s start again 🙂
Ignis ARL100 is a perfectly good model number for starters, the number they are asking for beginning 85??? is NOT the serial number, it’s the Whirlpool product code.
All Ignis ARL100 models are 853910015??? (only the last three numbers vary).
If the fridge was sold with the Sarena name on it then contact AIS as Ken has mentioned (good job I checked as he posted the same time as I did 😆 )
The likelehood is that Whirlpool (Ignis) manufactured the fridge for Sarena and accidently left the Ignis brand name on it in the factory.
