    Hello all,

    Was recently using the oven when the main breaker went. Once reset, found that while the grill element heated up fine and the oven fan worked, the oven element wasn’t heating up. I’m accepting the fact that it’s gone and that I’m going to have to replace it, but I thought I’d check with someone who actually knew what they were talking about first.

    Also – the digital display on the oven hasn’t worked since we bought the house (and the oven) two months ago and was wondering…
    A) If this is likely to be a problem in any way?
    B) Is the display not working likely to have just a single cause (like the display unit is just shot – end of story)?
    and C) Is it easy and worth it to replace?

    Hi Adam

    Yes you almost certainly have a faulty fan oven element.
    The clock/digital display is a complete unit and would be an expensive part (£90 approx.) to replace. As the oven has been functioning ok with the faulty clock this should not be a problem other than not having timer settings facility.
    The element or an equivalent should be available via this website or you could check repairs@ for a UKW engineer in your area.

    Power off if you decide to investigate further :zap:

    The element has certainly failed but I think the timer issue is unrelated to be honest.

    The element is here in the shop:

    The timer is part number 269416 at £103.55 inc VAT from Neff.

    I can get the timer to order if required, an email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk please 🙂

    ❓ I noticed previously that someone had to replace the heating element in their oven – i was wondering if anyone could advise me on fitting it. We have purchased the new element from UKWhitegoods, and on trying to fit it, we found that when we turn the power back on, the cooker trips all of the electric out. And – there is now no pawer at all to the cooker!

    Please help!

    Something’s gone awry when fitting the element by the sound of it.

    Did it trip as soon as power was applied or when the oven was switch on ?

    Hi all, sorry to but in but I’m need to fit a new element to my oven – I’m assuming this is a fairly simple task once the power is off and there is no need to call an engingeer. Is this correct or am I tempting fate?
