    Hi,

    My parents have an MR 6200 that is 23 years old. We have been informed the transformer has failed. Is there anyone in the Yorks / Manchester area that could repair it, or could someone suggest a simple mechanical timer microwave with a large (Turkey) sized cavity?

    Will a modern microwave last 23 years?

    A modern microwave oven has a typical life of 250 hours at full power. Definitely worth seeing about your current one – check in repairs@ or Directories for a repairer in your area.
