KeymasterHi
I have the aforementioned Diplomat ADP 8234,type 12043 dishwasher that I fitted myself ages ago. Because we were planning a refit of the kitchen I never bothered installing a door panel and put the door fitting kit “up safe”. Now that I have a door I want to fit to the dishwasher, I can’t actually do it because I can’t find the kit. 😮
Any idea where I can get the replacement fittings and template for drilling the holes?
Cheers

Confused
The fixing kit (two brackets & a key) is available from MFI on 0845 7959722 and is part number 697450274. retails at just under £10 excluding VAT and P&P.
You might also need two rubber spacers for the bottom of the door, part number 754010066, about £1 each (exc VAT, P&P).
I don’t see any listing for the template. If you need one ask MFI if they would be able to send one out, otherwise it’s a case for some crafty work with a tape measure and a pencil.

The fitting kit is listed on the spares disk as part number 697450274 at £11.05 inc VAT but it’s not clear if the template is in there.
It may be worth a call to MFI Extracare on 08457 959722, they should be able to advise further 🙂

Very much obliged. I also rang smeg and they didn’t have a clue, although they did cautiously admit they made the thing.
I’ll ring them right away. Thank you very much

I should point out that this fixing kit relates to the fascia that has slots at either end. You attach door catches to the inside of the decor door which fit into these slots and the height is fixed by a couple of screws in the bottom.
You’ll have to supply your own screws; 8 self tappers & 2 longer ones – measure the length of these against the dishwasher before you put them in.
You shouldn’t need a drill, an electric screwdiver will do.Craig

Just to advise the final price came to £16.87 and includes the template for drilling the holes. Also the number for smeg, if anyone needs it, is 0870 444 7002.
Very impressed with the response. Thank you, Dave and Craig.
