We have a hoover optima fridge freezer – supposedly “frost free”. The freezer compartment totally becomes ice bound after a month or two and starts making strange noises. the fan is working ok. After clearing with the ice pick its seems to work again ok. Any ideas why it has stopped being frost free?
    Thanks

Is the ice “powdery” like snow or is it a solid lump?

    Re: frosty fridge

    Hi K,
The ice is a solid lump which only forms on the floor of the freezer compartment. It needs a hair dryer and a mini ice pick type tool to remove it. There are no deposits on the sides or roof.
    Thanks for the interest
