Vulcan Lokring on 01484 712273 fax 01484 721376
I use the VPS01 rig which has done me well for quite a few years now, not sure of the current cost. They did have to order it though, I resisted buying the cheaper one they had in stock.

In this day and age, do you need a charging station? Mine rarely comes out of the stores. Just get a vac pump and scales along with a recovery unit. Will do most domestic stuff.

KeymasterFunnily enough we’ve found the same recently.
We had an ISDAL job that required a pot in it, no gas, no lokrings and I think it is about two years since we last had a call to use them. The lads were not exactly falling over themsleves to go do it either, can’t blame them as they don’t see enough of them.
And gas, none of our usual suppliers seems to have any on the shelf, wonder why that is?
Looking at the people that are in Repairs@ there’s very, very few that will touch system jobs. Probably as it’s too expensive to do and just eats time for not a lot of reward really, certainly not enough to cover the cost of doing it on anything below a US style machine. I’m sure that there is business to be had there, especially on built-in, but is it worth the aggrivation I wonder?

Participantdont know if its law or not but you may need a city & guilds in safe handling of refridgerants before you can starting working on systems….
you can get gas from BOC..system work seems at 1st a good money spinner but youl soon discover it aint worth the investment, customers mostly opt for replacementif you start quoting 150 -250 for system work, apart from what has been mentioned double door american style unit…..you can pick up integrated for 200-250 nowadays…
system work is not profitable now….so think about it
